I know this book when I listen to sermon by W.Vajiramedhi.
He has describe that a writer has to use a lot of assiduity to write this book.

The writer, Jean – Dominique Bauby, was a well-known French
journalist, and editor of the French famous fashion magazine. It is like his
destiny that one day he found himself that entirely speechless. He could only
blink his left eyelid and he use only left eyelid to write this book. That’s
amazing.
How he write this book? His assistant will read each
alphabet; A B C D… continuously and when he found the right alphabet he will
blink his eyelid. His assistance keep repeating over and over again from
alphabet to word, from word to sentence. (Later on the way of writing has
develop to faster by having a list of word that use a lot) This is a fist book
of the world that written from the left eyelid. Also, the book that use a lot
of assiduity in the world too. When this book has publish for three days, Jean
– Dominique Bauby has pass away. 1.5 million Books has been sold in first week.
It already has Thai version, and has many cover too.

Golden Globe Awards and got 8.1 review point from IMDB.
